  Half an hour from Paris , the city of Versailles lies, famous from the one of the most beautiful and important palaces of the world, Versailles Palace , symbol of the French monarchs absolute power. Thanks to the Luis XIV, the main creator of it, Versailles is exactly what we can see: a place dedicated to enjoy the life and art, where fun and love can be found in every corner…

The Versailles Palace

  Around 1623, the monarch Luis XIII commanded to construct a pavilion of hunting located in a boundary, in which the monarch and the noble spent their short moments of leisure.   Later, his son, Luis XIV, obsessed with creating a palace and surroundings without that couldn’t be compared with anything else in the known world, ordered to his architect Luis le van make more beautiful and bigger the previous building That’s where the Gallery of the Mirrors was constructed, without a doubt the most impressive room of the Palace of Versailles, that served among the other occasions - as room where the Treaty of Versailles was signed.

 The Palace interior’s hides such treasures as the Halls of Peace and The War and The rooms of The King and The Queen, in addition to The Queen’s private Apartments, where nothing has been changed since Marie Antoinette has left Versailles in 1789. The Chapel is another important place, where Luis XIV, Luis XV and Luis XVI went daily to mass. Palace interiors surprise us with the private Opera, a space where the monarchs enjoyed concerts and entertainment.

The gardens

  If the visit of the interiors of the palace is spectacular enough, the visit of the gardens will not leave you disappointed. It’s the place where you can get lost for hours without getting tired, contemplating the magnificent gardens with perfect symmetries and designs, or the great amount of pools and water sources that supplies Versailles the ingenious of the engineers gives an idea of the great work and of the time that had to be spend to gather and manage such amount of water and to build and maintain all that spectacular complex here.
